Les Sherman has been a member of Temple Sinai since 2012. He has served on the finance committee since its inception and has held the positions First and Second Vice President prior to assuming the office of President in 2016.
Mr. Sherman was a practicing CPA for thirty-two years where he was the managing director of his firm. Most recently, he was a hospital senior executive for nine years prior to retiring in 2011. He has a tremendous amount of experience in finance and operations and as President, works closely with the Staff, Clergy and Board of Trustees to guide temple operations.
Mr. Sherman has served on many boards for both non-profit and for profit entities. He has held multiple officer positions on these boards including Chairman. He is currently a Director of the Edward Kline Memorial Homeless Veterans Fund located in Las Vegas.
Mr. Sherman has a BS in accounting and an MBA from the University of Akron, Ohio.
Les has a passion for Temple Sinai, coming out of retirement to put his leadership skills to good use at Temple Sinai.
He is married to Eileen and they have two adult sons and two grandchildren.
