According to its Bylaws, the purpose of the Temple Sinai Men’s Club is, “to promote the fundamental and enduring principles of Judaism, to promote Jewish-based fellowship through religious, cultural, social, recreational and educational activities, and to support and promote the activities and financial needs of Temple Sinai.” However, the Men’s Club is much more than this simple mission statement.
Fundamentally, the Men’s Club, with its approximately one hundred members, is an auxiliary of the Temple — supplementing the educational, spiritual, and social programming of the synagogue, springing into action to help congregants and community members in need, fundraising for specific congregational needs and projects, and fostering a sense of brotherhood among the men of our dynamic Temple Sinai family.
Our men (and many of their spouses) gather once a month on the second Sunday of the month to share a breakfast and hear from engaging speakers. We gather for barbecues, park walks, softball games, and social action projects. We provide tangible support to each other and to our broader congregation. And, most importantly, we enjoy each other’s company and fellowship.
Membership is open to all male members of Temple Sinai eighteen years of age or older, and annual dues are only $36.00.
